WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

You need to be young –under 40 anyway – but more importantly, driven by a passion for the housebuilding industry, and a rare talent in your chosen profession.
The Show House Top 40 Under 40, brought to you by the leading trade publication Show House, will name the best young professionals in the new homes markets – be you a housebuilder, agent, or supplier.
You may be a young construction director setting new build standards, a marketing manager making waves with innovative ideas to shift homes, a PR or advertising professional re-writing the media book, or a dynamic sales executive, supplying kitchens, tiles or tools to housebuilders.
We want nominations for and from the best young prospects in property – today’s brightest new kids on the block and tomorrow’s industry leaders, movers and shakers.

HOW TO ENTER

Entries are invited for the Show House Top 40 Under 40 and the entry process could not be simpler. And it’s FREE.

You can nominate yourself, or be nominated. We need a maximum of 800 words (in word document form) including a biography (with email and phone details), explaining why you believe you are one of the industry’s bright young things. Indeed you might already be top of your tree at a young age.

What do you bring to your company’s table?
What drives you?
How do you believe you can make a difference in this industry?
What are your proudest industry achievements to date?

We do not just want to hear about you the businessman or businesswoman. But about you the individual too – interests outside work, as well as achievements.
Judges, drawing up a short-list of potential winners, will not be judging you on the quality of your written words, but how compelling the content is.

We also need you to provide a written testimonial (maximum 400 words in a word document) from a boss, industry colleague, or client, past or present, but not your mum.

Why do you think the nominee deserves to be ranked in the Top 40 Under 40?
What are their particular business skills and outstanding personal characteristics?
Why is this new kid on the block going to make a difference to the industry?

We also require a head and shoulders picture of the nominee.

Rupert Bates, editorial director of Show House and the What House? Awards, will be chairman of the judging panel. A prestigious panel of judges will be confirmed shortly and the Top 40 Under 40 will be announced at the What House? Awards at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel on Friday November 20th. Every winner will feature in Show House magazine and online.
